When Nell shows up raving about a dragon, the Gribble family plan to keep her in hospital until her house and land with its unpaid mortgage is repossessed and falls into their hands. As Bronson tries to prove the dragon is real, Pete and Linda go to Seagull Shack to find Nell's lost rubies to pay off her mortgage with - but then the seagulls attack with their volleys of bird poo... Based on the short stories "Birdscrap" and "There's No Such Thing" from "Unbelievable!".

Starting at their new school, Pete and Linda are forced by Gribble Jr and his gang to pass a "nerve test" by retrieving a steer's skull from the rubbish tip at night - the same rubbish tip said to be haunted by Old Man Chompers, the ghost of a man searching for his twin long-lost grandchildren. Based on the short story "A Good Tip For Ghosts" from "Uncanny!".

When Bronson asks Tony where babies come from, an embarrassed Tony tells Bronson that babies come from a cabbage patch--which turns out to be true when Bronson discovers a green baby in a cabbage patch. Based on the picture story book "The Cabbage Patch Fib".

Pete finds a remote control that can control reality - when Gribble Jr's gang find out, they steal it and use it to compete in a spaghetti-eating contest. Based on the short story "Spaghetti Pig Out" from "Uncanny!".

After an accident, Linda ends up with a broken nose. She dreams of her nose being big, so she escapes to the country with her Aunt Tuneless (who looks like Nell), where she discovers that anyone who plays "The Wild Colonial Boy" on a gumleaf from a certain tree can pass illnesses onto others. She discovers this after Aunt Tuneless uses it against Foxy (who looks like Mr Gribble), a neighbour with whom Aunt Tuneless has been feuding for years. Based on the short story "The Gum Leaf War" from "Unbelievable!".

Pete discovers the truth behind Jolly Old St. Nick when he meets Santa Claws No. 115,302. He offers two wishes to each Twist... Based on the short story "Santa Claws" from "Quirky Tails".

Pete's underpants become blessed with magic powers after he uses a microwave to dry them. Unfortunately, a frog race and a shrinkage problem leave Pete all alone and a bit undressed... Based on the short story "Wunderpants" from "Unreal!".

Ben Byron, the ghost of a boy who died trying to save his dog, casts a spell on Pete. Now Pete can't say anything without blurting, "without my pants". Based on the short story "Without A Shirt" from "Unreal!"

The Gribbles finally succeed in evicting the Twists from the lighthouse. However, unbeknown to the Gribbles, the developer he has hired plans to destroy the lighthouse. The Twists, Gribbles, and all of their friends join together with the ghosts in the attic to save the lighthouse. Based on the short story "Lighthouse Blues" from "Unreal!".

While Mr. Gribble sets out to destroy a rainforest and erect a casino, Nell sets out to save a species of magical toadstools called Yuckles which live in the rainforest and can duplicate whatever stands next to them before exploding. Based on the short story "Yuggles" from "Unbearable!".

Jealous that Pete gets to suck Fiona's neck during a school production of Dracula, Gribbs locks Pete in the school bathroom. While there, Pete meets a ghost who forces Pete to scare someone if he ever wants to get out. Based on the short stories "Inside Out" from "Unbelievable!" and "The Velvet Throne" from "Unmentionable!".

A valuable opal belonging to Nell gets swallowed by a goat. Now everyone in town must search through the goat's droppings in order to find it. Based on the short stories "Little Black Balls" and "Licked" from "Unbearable!".

As the Twists, the Gribbles, Fiona, Rabbit, Tiger and Nell are all trapped in the lighthouse in a storm, the ghost ship of the SS Niranda is returning a hundred years after being wrecked on the coast. The ghost of Matthew, the old lighthouse keeper, possesses Pete in order to save the ghost ship and be reunited with his lost love Jane.

Bronson swallows a rare whirling derfish and his life starts spinning out of control. After finding it in Linda's room Fay reads to Tony from the Viking Book of Love.

Pete and Mr. Gribble's minds get switched in a gizmo accident. Fiona falls for Pete after he reads to her from the Viking Book of Love.

Anthony and Linda discover a strange microphone that forces everyone to tell the truth. Bronson and James Gribble both turn vain after reading from the Viking Book of Love.

After breaking a tradition, Bronson is cursed with a meter-long beard and is mistaken for the Nirandathal Beast. Harold and Matron start up a motel business after Harold reads the Viking Book of Love to Matron. Tony and the Twist children struggle with Fay's first Mother's Day with the Twist family.

Pete and Tony find an old Malibu surfboard and Pete meets the board's owner, the ghost Moondoggy who never did manage to surf Big Blue, the once every 30 year tidal wave. But with Pete, he just may have a chance. Rabbit reads the Viking Book of Love to Old Nell which leads to embarrassment for Rabbit.

In an experiment gone wrong, Anthony and Bronson succeed in separating Pete and Linda from their brains. Now, Gribbs' gang have control of the bodies while the brains create havoc in the town. Linda falls for Anthony after he reads from the Viking Book of Love.

When the Twists decide to throw out all their junk, they realise how much of it they really want -- except for Linda, who doesn't want her doll, Veronique. But Veronique isn't about to let go of her human friend without a fight... Gribbs, meanwhile is in love with Linda after the Book of Love comes into play.

A drought has hit Port Niranda hard and the rainmaker has fallen in with Gribbs! It is up to Pete to save the day. Fay has fallen in love with Snapper after he reads from the Viking Book of Love.

Mr. Gribble fires Linda from his icecream parlour so she moves to Paulo's. But Paulo's secret is Giorgio, a freak who makes icecream from his nose and who has lived his whole life in the van. Linda decides to rescue him but he may not be ready for the world that lies beyond.

Bronson is sick and tired of not being told anything but now every piece of furniture can talk! Bronson decides to rescue Fay from Mr. Snapper by retrieving the Book of Love.

Gribbs reads the last poem in the Book of Love and unknowingly turns Fay into a frog. Unfortunately, this is only part one. Snorrison returns when all the adults are transported to the 8th Century AD and the kids take over.

Linda has the power to become invisible. After ruining Gribbs' reputation she agrees to help Pete win a horserace but ends up revealing a lot more than the fact she's holding the reins.

At a flea circus, a rare Transylvanian flea named Count Dracumite sinks its teeth into Pete, turning him into a werewolf at night. Not only is he in love with Fiona's dog, but Pete may have to stay that way.

Remember the strange person who keeps popping up in the lighthouse? It turns out she is Princess Ariel of the Isle of Dreams, and is looking for more people for her home. She has chosen the Twist and Gribble kids to join her. This leaves Pete, Linda, Bronson, Gribbs, Tiger and Rabbit having to decide whether or not to leave Port Niranda forever. Meanwhile, Fay handcuffs herself to Mr. Gribble and then goes into labour!
